Welcome to one of my fun pages!! In my geekiness, I have been playing with creating my own computer~generated images. This is the bouncing baby start of my ASCII art pictures. I will continue to add to when I have a few spare moments.
Very simply put, it works like this. Work out of Notepad or Wordpad on your computer. You are using keyboard characters to make your images. Look at an object then figure out how it would like in various lines and shades. This is basically what you will be creating by using the keyboard characters. Once you have a notion of an image in your head, you get the characters on the screen by pushing "ALT" in combination with 2 and 3~digit numbers off of your numerical keypad. See Chris.com for more information on those combinations. That's it. The rest of it is up to your imagination!
Would you like to try your own hand at these images? Here are a couple of links that I found the most beneficial in my own efforts at this unique form of personal expression:

Now that I've share a couple of pages about how to create your own ASCII Art, here are a couple of images that I did for myself quite a while back now:
Please enjoy!
